赤橙黄绿青蓝紫，

谁持彩练当空舞？

雨后复斜阳，

关山阵阵苍。

当年鏖战急，

弹洞前村壁。

装点此关山，

今朝更好看。

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet,

Who’s dancing with a colored band in the sky fire-lit?

After the rain the sinking sun is seen;

The mountain pass exhales floods of deep green.

A furious battle raged then on this spot;

The village walls are still riddled with shot.

Dotted today with these traces of war,

The mountain pass looks fairer than before.

Violet, blue, orange, yellow, indigo, red and green —

Who dances with the colour ribbon in the sky serene?

Newly over is the rain, there appears the sun setting again,

Now greener are the passes and hills in a view so plain.

Years ago a battle was fought here tooth and nail,

The village walls were riddled with bullets like a hail,

The past batter ground is adored by the scars from war,

Now it looks far more fair than it was before.

The sun returns slanting after the rain

　And hill and pass grow a deeper blue.
