合适论文将发表在Remote Sensing、International Journal of Digital Earth和Chinese Geographic Science专刊上。

Call for Participation: International Conference on Urban Computing and Smart Planning

In recent years, big data has been widely used for urban informatics and computing, spurring novel thoughts for data-driving urban theories and smart planning. On the one hand, big data technologies present an unprecedented potential to the developments of smart cities, particularly the design, planning, simulation, and visualization of neighborhoods and cities. On the other hand, technological advances have brought up new challenges and opportunities about both theories and practices on big data-supported urban planning. In China, the recent national policy reform emphasizes the integration of land use planning and urban planning, which has also pushed the frontiers of innovations in the integrated planning on both theories and practices. It is necessary to explore how big data analytics and urban computing may facilitate smart planning in this context.

To inspire academic discussions, research and collaborations on new theories, methods, and practices about big data applications in urban computing and smart planning, International Conference on Urban Computing and Smart Planning will be held on September 27th-29th at Nanjing University, China. The conference is jointly organized by Urban Geography Committee of the Geographical Society of China, Nanjing University and Spatially Integrated Social Sciences Committee, CPGIS.Selected presentations will be invited to special issues to be published by Remote Sensing, International Journal of Digital Earth and Chinese Geographic Science.
